Near the well-known beach village of Forte dei Marmi you will find the stunning mountain village of Pietrasanta, just 10 minutes inlands by car.

It’s one of the many small villages of the area with just a handful residents and as many shops and restaurants but what differences Pietrasanta from the others, is the main square: an outdoor museum on its own.

Next to the centuries old church you will find modern pieces of art, made by local and not so local artists, often cut from the marble mountains less than a mile away – you can see them from the rooftop of the Principe Hotel in Forte dei Marmi and this are the exact mountains where Leonardo da Vinci got his marble from.
